Message waiting light

I have an option 61 with an acd group programmed on it. The acd number is on key 0 on 2 phones and then they have a private dn on key 1 and a phantom line on key 2. These private numbers also are scn'd on 2 other phones. They have voice mail built on their private lines. When someone calls them and leaves a message the message waiting light does not come on. I have mwa in cls and checked the voice mail programming and message waiting is turned on. I also tried to turn on the light by manually turning them on with a mck and an mik button but the lights want come on. I know the lights work because I have checked them in other spots. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem is that the extension you are trying to set message wait indication on is represented on several sets.

What I think you can do is:
Add another dn to each of the sets.
This dn can only be on one set.
That is, you have to add different dn's to each of the sets.

Then, in meridian mail, set message wait indikation on the new dn you added.

So when a message comes in on extension A, it turns on message wait indikation on extension B.

The users of the sets doesnt even have to know that this dn is on their phones also.
the only thing it does is to be there to be able to turn on the message wait lamp.

The other thing that you can do is remove the scn on the other phones, when working with a ACD group and a private line it is best not to have the private line appear on any other phones.

The responses are correct. I just had the same thing at a customers of mine w/ACD on Key 0, and their # appeared on another set. You can also use the XMWK - Extended Msg Waiting on a Key.
