Message Waiting Light?

I can't get my message waiting light to turn off on my 2008. There is no voice mail box for it. Using MerMail. Is there a way that you can tell if another box has the message waiting light set to this extension? I've removed the key and added it again. I've also disabled and re-enabled the phone and unplugged and plugged back in.

Add a key to a digital phone KEY xx "MCK" and press it, dial the number of the phone that is lit up, and press the key again

what type of mail? you can do a search in either for mwi dn, that's usually the case.. mck/mik keys will turn the lamps off and on.. a search in the mail will find out how it got on..
