Message Waiting Light on Console Phone Won't Turn Off 2

The message waiting light is lit on our "operator" phone 4424LD+. All calls for the operator and group that the operator is a member of come through the AA first. There is no group mailbox for the group, and these extensions do not have voicemail boxes. Why is the message light lit up, and how can I turn it off on the operator's phone

she's probably the owner of the general mailbox. try mailbox 9991, 9992, 9993, or 9994. or 9997 if you have an old merlin mail.

We are not using the 4 general mailboxes, but I reinitialized all four of them anyway to make sure they were empty. The msg light is still on on our operator ext 360.
