Message Waiting Light issue

Hi All,

I have a client who has a Merlin Magix with in-skin Merlin Mail.

One of the stations message waiting lights will not turn on when a new message is left. I logged into the administration box and set the mailbox to "Has a phone" status, but still no luck. Any ideas on what I could look for?

You can also try removing and reinstalling the mailbox - sometimes that works to correct the problem.

All of the above, AND -

Go to the phone in question and press INTERCOM (SA) Speaker, POUND ZERO ZERO.

Thus you will verify the Extension Number.

Now, get out of that mode by lifting the hand set and putting it back.

NEXT - Press INTERCOM, SPEAKER and dial * (STAR) Zero Zero - This puts the little guy in SELF TEST MODE.

OBSERVE THE LED's.

IF the MESG LIGHT WORKS, then we need to go to the next step.

(BUT FIRST, again, lift the hand set and put it back, to get out of self test.)

Do the above and then we can tell you about the NEXT STEP!
 
Removing the mailbox and replacing it solved the problem. Thanks for the suggestion guys!
