Message waiting light goes to operator instead of voicemail

On one extension when the message waiting light is lit and then pressed it calls the operator instead of the voicemail. When I look at way the button is programmed on the phone (Dialog 3213) is shows it as message waiting button but it also has a S and a 1 showing. Have been able to fix the problem by removing the S and 1 and other ways but every night it returns to the way it was before no matter what I do. Any help with this would be great thanks. Because your system does a daily backup it reprograms the feature again the way it used to be.
