Message Waiting Light for Cisco Phone

We are trying to use Call Pilot Voice Mail for several Cisco Phones, however, we can not get the MWI lit on the Cisco Phone. I have some guide lines from Cisco and it appears that we are missing a few features on the D-Channel.

Can someone tell me the load and the programming steps to make the changes to adan dch 7

I'm guessing you've got a QSIG link between the two, so normally you need to add QMWI to the RCAP settings for the DCH in LD 17.

The documented RCAP settings for a Nortel to Cisco PRI using QSIG are:

COLP NDI CCBI CCNI PRI DV3I CTI QMWI

The IFC of the DCH would be ISGF

both post are correct.. if your not running qsig and even est the ckt, your good.. on a non qsig rcap mwi..

you can not get that working if your dial a code..ie ac2 or acod then the dn.. the dn has to be in the cdp

Instructions to add QMWI are not working. I got Err SCH5578 and can not find an explanation for the error code.

Any other suggestions what I am doing wrong? All help will be greatly appreciated.

3. I then disabled DCH 7 and tried the change again but that didn't work either.

4. Here is my current D-Channel Configuration. I knew I was missing QMWI. and already tried to changed in LD 17 but since I got the same error I figured I am not reading the manual intructions properly. I'm really new at trying to make changes.

Logical application must be disabled.


You must disable the DCh 7 and loop 19 then make the change. In LD 17.

When you disable DCH 7 do stat and make sure that the DCH 7 is disabled.
