I have a very odd problem that I have never seen.

KXTDA 100 with VPS 120. I set a DSS button for a ICD group voicemail box (3099 as I numbered it). I have this working on another ICD with no problems at all however this one particular group is giving me an error.

I have used the *7013099 MWL clear command which it spits back a "not valid" which is true.

If a message is left in 3099 and I hit the programmed button, it goes to my VM group (100) and allows me to hear it. However afterwards it should clear the lamp but does not. It stays lit up and when pushed it displays a colon ":" giving the option to clear or exit.

I choose the clear but it never goes away. So it can be stacked so high that I have to clear 1000's of MWL's but I suspect something else is incorrect.

Is there anyway to clear this MWL or : that is displaying as it is keeping the lamp constantly light? My group can't tell when there is really a message or not as it's always on.

I have searched the forum for a solution however, no one has posted this type of problem.

Thanks!

*701 is the set code. *700 is the cancel.
On the old TD series when we saw this we knew there was a corrupted database on the system. Maybe same thing for you. I'd probably try to renumber the group temporarily then make another ext 3099, and do a *700ext from it so all lamps are cleared, or do a *790 and then change the extension numbers back...

Have I confused you as much as I confused myself??

Opps sorry typo, I meant *7003099. I do know exactly what you are saying. I suspected the same thing. However, I didn't want to have to go to that length in case I was simply missing something.

I will look after this and let you know how it goes. Thanks!

I tried the Extension *790 however it didn't clear it so i am going to swap it and proceed from there. I will just leave it swapped, for example 3098 and if it works that's where it is staying.

My friend I have also a TDA 100 with no voicemail or message cards and on a T7633 the message light is ON, and i cannot switch it off because when i press the message button it shows no missed call by extension but only this indication ":", how i switch it off??

The problem that exists with the TDA is that you can have extensions on the system that don't have extension numbers programmed, when this is the case there extension numbers are :
If they leave a call back message, the message button will now show a :
You can't clear it as the TDA does not know where the : originated from (BUG).
The easiest way to clear the problem is to delete the port extension number and the re-programme that port again.
MAKE sure that you're voicemail ports all have extension numbers.
