I do not know what is going on but after rebooting our AD-64 many of our phones have the MWI on even though there's no messages.

I have no clue what the problem is and the lamp will not turn off with the MW Lamp Control cancel code.
I have done a software reset but nothing helps.

What could trigger the MWI other than a new message?

Our system is an IPS 2000.

There isn't a message wait cancel code on the IPS. There is a dterm to dterm message cancel code though but the two are not connected other than that they both light the message light. It sounds like there has been a glitch in the MCI and basically either you need an MCI emulator to turn them all off or a simpler way is leave a message on each extension and when they listen to the message, the AD64 will turn off the light!

I did try to leave a message end erase it but it does not work.

The only way to turn off this light so far is by redoing the extension and then use the message cancel code.

to turn off, go history and use up and down, this is not for message it is for history (incoming, missed calls outgoing). i hope it will do for u.

What do you mean go history?
Up and down where?

Have you tried a system reset? Sounds a real pain! What you can do is use mach script editor to list up all the details for each extension (including such things as memories and key data) then replace the second data column with a column of CCCs. save both versions seperately then run the ccc version, immediately followed by the original version and you will have redone all the extensions in a few seconds!

This is a problem that common. You reset the voicemail, but I don't believe the AD-64 is a problem. The problem lies with 2 things, 1 either a call back has been set to those phones and if so #1 (default) usually will clear it from the phone with the light on. 2 try using #9 (default) for MW light Cancel. *9 (default) is MW Light Enable.

Let me know if this works or not. There are a few other things you can do to fix this.

In the numbering plan, make an unused code be A146. Then go to the phone with the unwanted ligh and press speaker, dial the new code you created and then press 3. You may need to do this more than once but the light should go out.
