message waiting indicator w/no message

I tried posting this a while ago but didnt see it anywhere. Forgive me if it is a repost. I have an s8720 servers with octel voicemail. On at least 1 station, I get a message waiting indication but there arent any messages. I tried removing the vm box but that didnt help. I was going to try and rebuild the station but it will not let me remove the station because it thinks that there are vm's. Any suggestions as to why the indicator with no vm's? Iknow that I can turn the vm indicator off on the station form but that doesnt solve the problem. Thanks...Jon

Have you checked Leave Word Calling? Display your feature access codes and see if you have one for that. That would turn the message light on without a voicemail. To delete the station use the command 'clear amw all xxxx' That will turn the light off so you can proceed.

clear amw all xxxx should do the trick. Where xxxx is the extension number.

amw can be turned on several ways. status station will show what turned it on.

I took your guys advice and cleared amw, rebuilt the station and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it...Jon
