Hi guys,

Some of my IP sets have got their MWI lamps that keeps flashing eventough there is no message.

When I press the flashing key, sometime I've got "no message" altough there are or some show "messages" and when I press the key it asks to call the voicemail (Which is good but I can't get that feature on all phones) and then the voicemail says there is no message ;(

Any idea ?

System type?
Voicemail type?
Software revision(s)?

I've got two ICP 3300 CXII running MCD4.1 SP1.

Voicemails are, so far, all of type extension.

The two ICPs are configure as a cluster but each controller as his own voicemail huntgroup. An IP trunk over IPsec VPN is used to link the ICPs together.

Thanks

I found other post about the subject and try many things:

Send Messages is disable for all but Voicemail COS
Call Back set up FAC is not set
Multiline set voicemail message callback erasure allowed.

I've got 16 VM ports configured and the first 4 are used for the voicemail huntgroup. This one also include the last VM port as I read it's used by the system for MWI.

When I press the message key, regardless there is a message or not, the system says "no message"

One only one phone, When I pressed the flashing key, I was prompted to dial voicemail. I would like this to be true for all my sets.

Embedded VM then on a 3300 got it.

I've got 16 VM ports configured and the first 4 are used for the voicemail huntgroup.

the last setup port is used for MWI and must be in the group. Mitel recommends for various reasons that the 1st and last port always be part of the voicemail group.

If the VM port setting the MWI is not in the group it will set a message but with type "Dialed Message Waiting" instead of "Callback Massage" the symptoms are exactly as you describe.

To turn off a message that was previously set by dialed MWI you must use the Feature Access Code for Dialed Message waiting Deactivate (not necessarily exact name, look for something like it if need be)

Fix problem by placing port 16 in your VM hunt group.

from MAINTENANCE "show fea e xxxx" what type of message waiting is set? CALL BACK or DIALLED ?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Thanks all,

It seems most of my issues were because the last VM port wasn't a part of my VM huntgroup.

I don't use multiline/keyline, so I left enable the callback feature. now it seems it works fine.

Cheers,
