Is there a way to turn off the "Message for you" indicator on the display so incoming Caller ID information can be displayed? I want to keep the indicator lamp on and kill the display message.

BCM 50
Set Model 1230

Let me clarify:

When there is no vm, the display shows the date & time, and Caller ID information is displayed before picking up the handset.

When there is vm, the MWI lamp is on, and the display says "Message for you". When a call comes in, the Caller ID info is not displayed until you pick up the phone.

Is there a way to either set the phone so that only the MWI lamp comes on (i.e. does not also put the message on the display) when there is vm, or is there a setting so Caller ID information will show up prior to picking up the phone if there is vm - and still have the MWI lamp on?

FYI - I am using Business Elements Manager to configure the settings.

ok...

Static time was a half fix. When a call came in on our main line and was transferred to me, I got the caller ID. Direct dial to my DN still didn't give the CLID.

So...I went in to BCM Element manager and clicked on my DN in Active Set Line Access... The dang check boxes for Call ID Set weren't checked.

Problem fixed, and I now just have Date/Time like I wanted.

Thanks for your help!
