I have a customer who has a NAM that is giving Message For You signals hours after the message has been left? Is there a way to check or set the NAM to proptly notify the set?

Actually, since the Norstar VM doesn't use a port to activate the lamp, there may be a legitamate problem here. There should NOT be a delay of this length. The Norstar VM sends a digital signal to the phone system in a similar fashion as sending a message using another phone.
You may want to contact your vendor to see if there are any patches for the NAM or possibly an incompatability between s/w versions.
