Message scrolling across the page 2

I am new at this and need help. I want to have a line of text that scrolls from right to left across a page at a selected point either in or not in a box. I have tried to deal with Javascript behaviors without success. Scrolling should start with the "onload" or similar function. Thanks for any help.

if you are only dealing with IE then you can use the Marquee
tag
