message saying cookies not enabled

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 and trying to go to a secure site to purchase an item but I am getting a messsage saying that cookies are disabled and I need to enable them.

my privacy settings are at medium and I used to be able to go the the secure site before. I tried everything including deleting the cookies and all the files from the temporary internet folder and trying again.

Any suggestions?

Go to the privacy advanced tab and override default settings to allow all cookies and see if that helps. If it does you can try setting it back to the minimum required to get the job done. I couldn't find the spot I was looking for but I'm sure someone else will come up with a better (more secure) answer.
