I want to create a rule for outgoing messages. The rule, consisting of applying stationary & changing font etc, will be applied to messages with a certain subject title. Is this possible, as I have had a dabble at trying it, but it seems as though I can only apply rules to incoming messages.

Any ideas?

As default in outlook 2000, the rules wizard only applies rules to either 'after message arrives' or 'after message is sent'. Obviously this won't help you. I haven't tried it, but in theory it would be possibly to write a macro which could run underneath the send/receive button, which would change the stationary & then send the message, rather than sending the message & then applying the rule. Basically the macro would need to first trigger the rule you wish to implement (haven't looked into the logistics in doing this, but i would imagine it can be altered within code), before triggering the send event....

You could also look at using forms for data entry. I believe this is designed to standardize things, so it might be able to do what you need...... James Goodman
