Unable to install some programs due to above message. Also lost my sound from movies, windows sounds. Device manager had no errors and tried to run the latest drivers for sound, get this message. Followed many of the suggested fixes from elsewhere, but none worked. Ran as administrator, disabled the UAL, changed permissions in registry, changed owner of folder and files. Ran antimalware, antivirus, trojans, using spybot, advanced system care, spyhunter, rogue killer ccleaner and none solved the problem of privilege not held by client.

Are you rocking Glary's or CCleaner? Do you have a registry backup? Have you tried a System Restore to a point before the issue? Tested your HDD/RAM lately?
