I have a problem where sometimes emails will have many X's in the middle of a message. Here's an example of a couple of lines:

Information Technology, insbesondere am Standort in München, haben wir kanzleiintern eine
entsprechenXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

After many lines of XXX's, the email will continue as normal, but the XXX's have replaced the original message so that you don't receive the full message. It doesn't just happen with international messages. It can happen on an email from a source one time and not the next. It happens on more than one of my users and from more than one source.

We are running Exchange 5.5 Build 2448.8 SP2. I've checked all of the MIME settings for IMAP4, POP3 and the Internet Mail Service Connection and all are set to plain text and the Western European character set.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas for what to look for? Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
