Message notifications not coming up on phone displays

The display on the phones used to tell people how many new messages they had and such. This is no longer the case.
I rebooted the system to see if that would help out, no dice.
The message light still notifies people they have messages though.
Any suggestions?

Did you BUSY OUT and RESTORE the MESSAGING MODULE?

I would try that if it hasn't been done.

Previous threads have stated that a board renumber will fix it, as long as the vintage of the Mail and the system support the number of messages feature.
