Message Notification 1

We have a CICS 6.1 and CallPilot 100 2.0. We have setup message notification to a Nextel cell phone, but it does not work. Do anyone know, does Nextel support this feature?


P.S. I setup the mailbox for outdial and pool. Then pool 1, accept 1 and so on....
 
Where does it seem to go wrong?
Have you been able to troubleshoot or isolate anything?
 
The lines are Supervised....

We program each mailbox and add each user their cell phones. When we leave a message, as far as we can tell the cell phone is not responing.

I have a thought ... is the CP 100 sending the message notification out as a text message?
 
Can you clean the mailbox out and try it to a land line? This way if it works then you need to get with cell provider.
 
Make sure your COS is set to allow this I think the only COS that denies this feature is 5 and 6..
 
did the time to start the message notification roll into the start time, or did you just tell it to start at 11:00AM and it was 12:00PM when you did it. I always had to make it roll into the notification before it'll work for me.

I will change the cell phone number to a land line.

Also, I set the start time for 1200 AM and stop time for 1159 PM.

I will check and make sure for the COS is to to allow.

I set the dialing string to...9P1xxxxxxxxxx....do I need a paue?
 
If you have the Outdial set up to use the pool then you do not need the 9.
 
It has nothing to do with Nextel, and it is not a text message. It is just a number that is dialed. So if you can succsefully dial the cell phone from a land line- you are good. When you answer the call the CP walks you through retrieving the message. As to why it does not work: it could be a number of reasons, all pertaining to your programming.
