I'm attempting to get Message Notification to dial-out after caller (internal or external) leaves a message in subscriber's mailbox.

Setup is an MICS (6.1) w/T-1 PRI & CallPilot 100.

I've tried setting up outdial to "Line" (Line 157 is the only Target line in this matter), "Pool" (PRI-A, Pool 1) and "Route" to no avail. I've tried inserting a "9" in front of the cellphone # being dialed (which worked on a previous system), and without the "9", etc.

???

Thanks in advance,

Yes, "New" vs. urgent is selected.

Set the outdial to a pool that you do not use (no lines assigned). Then as the dial out number use your Desti Code + phone number. I think the was how it worked.

Would the destination code be "9"? That is what users must dial to access an outside line.

I've already tried adding a "9" in front of the outdial number (Outdial:pool 1 - Pool 1 = PRI-A).

So, you're saying to select Pool 2 under Outdial and enter the "9" before the number?

use a pool NOT BEING USED then use routing code..whatever it is 9 + number...8 + number

OK. Well now the system is attempting to call (used my cell # as a test), but isn't connecting. Receiving the "unable to reach caller" message in the mailbox afterward.

you need to make sure the lines have disconnect supervision on them (ask your CO) and set the supervision to Yes for all the lines ... this is a must for transfer ...
but just in case you may want to check

There is only one line...line # 157, which is a T-1 PRI (PRI-A).

Can you tell us how you have it set up now? It sounds like you are close maybe we can see a step that you missed.

line 157 is a target line, which is a logical incoming only line- you cannot make an outgoing call using that line

if you are just forwarding DID calls, you may try feature 84 which is line redirect (ofcourse you need to have line redirect enabled in both cases)

Attempting to forward messages left in a mailbox to a cell phone using message notification.

I've set the outbound dial to "pool" (line, pool, route) and selected pool 2 (unused pool) per above suggestions.

Someone today suggested trying pool 16. Mailbox set-up wouldn't take pool 16, but did take pool 15.

Still no worky...

When you chose pool 2 what did you use as your dial out number?
