We have a Message Networking Server that we want to add the Enterprise Lists Application. Avaya is telling us that the MNS we have is a basic version and that we need to upgrade to advanced which involves a complete forklift replacement-new server, etc. This doesn't sound right to me. If I look on the Customer Options page of our current MNS it shows that Enterprise Lists is available but that it is "OFF". This would tell me that we would just need to get that feature activated. The documentation on this is very unspecific.

Does anyone know what the deal is? Do really need a new MNS just to add the Enterprise Lists?

Thanks for your help!

What type of hardware do you have? Is it the S3210 or S3400-H or higher?

You can only get the enterprise lists on the high availability server due to the load it puts on the system.

It has always been this way. Not sure what Doc's you are looking at but the concepts and planning guide will show that the lists are only available on the larger system.
