I'm in the process of replacing our Avaya VM with another manufacturer. The other party indicated they can network to message networker to be able to phase the migration. My MN is running 3.1 and was told that would need to be upgraded first. I have a mixed back of versions.. I have a MM 5.1 (2 MAS, 1 MSS) and another networked cluster of MM 3.1 (2 MAS, 1 MSS). I just want to make sure the current versions I'm running will be able to network to a higher MN system.

Who told you to upgrade and why ? If you are using the MNS now with the systems then the only hold back would be the new system and i assume it uses VPIM or AMIS right ?
