We have an Option81 system with Call Pilot. What are the steps necessary to prevent the call waiting light from showing up on a certain extension?

Thanks -

You can turn the lamp off with an "MCK" Key. The Telecom person's phone should always have MIK and MCK Keys for this purpose.

You can prevent it from coming on with CLS MWD

I would say the better idea is to delete the mailbox that keeps activating the light.

GHTROUT already answered this per ususal ;)

On a side note ... if you are having the light lock onto an 'on' state a way to clear it that seems to work is to dial back into voicemail and check messages for the phone (it will report no new messages) and then when you hang up the light will likely clear. Almost like Callpilot doesn't recognize that the user has cleared the messages.

Just a nice tip if you see the issue.

In Call-Pilot Advance Search, click MWI and put in the extension of the phone that light. You might see other mail box lighting that DN.
