strangest thing. I have a Magix with a Magix messaging. When callers leave a message in the general mailbox, it lights the lamp at the operator extension. When the messages are retrived however, the lamp does not go out. If you manually check the messages from the phone display, it says that the voice mail called. You can delete the message then, and the lamp goes out. No other messages are present. Only seems to occur with the general MB. All other extensions are fine. anyone else had this problem before?

Does the operator have its own mailbox in addition to being the "owner" of the general mailbox, or is there more than one general mailbox being used? TipHelp@charter.net

Just the one mailbox. No box assigned for the operator or any additional GM boxes.

I've had some now and then issues with MWI's, and you can clear the MWI's and then force a voice mail update under the Maintance>System Menu. Clear first then update the MWI's used with the voice mail calling group. That should make it occur again, if it's real. Other GMB's and calling groups as well can cause a light on a phone. Going to have to do an inventory of those beasts to see which is the culprit. TipHelp@charter.net
