Message Light ON, but no messages

Call Pilot Messaging System

Every morning ext. 7420 phone indicates that it has voicemail; however, when you check voicemail, there are NO messages. This only happens first thing in the morning.
This has me stumped. I do not see another mailbox with the MWI set for that DN. I’m not sure this will be very helpful but below is the print out of the TN.

Has this been happening since Feb 4th? (or is that when the user was created)

I notice that the set was created or changed on Feb 4th, maybe something changed then and problem started since then???

The user opened a ticket with me on 2/12 so it very well could be possible that it started on the 4th. The user has been around with that extension for some time now.

I've tried all sorts of things to resolve this. This is why I thought it might be a good idea to post a thread.

Under VM setup for that particular user, do you happen to have the "unsent msg" on the drop down menu selected next to Message waiting indication options: instead of new messages or whatever you use at your company?

Also, maybe the user can tell you what was changed on Feb4th, maybe they had a request to change something....

I left a message on ext. 7435 voicemail and the message light lit up on ext. 7420. 7420 checked his messages,and it said he had no messages and the message light turned off.

Why would this be?

Check the MWI DN for 7435

kattr11...take a look at both mailboxes 7420 and
7435 if they are the only extensions in their own
mailboxes make sure at the top on the DN list
you will see a message that says mailbox shares
dn if it is checked un-check it.

MCR keys act funny with MWI on ACD phones, not sure of the technical reason but I have noticed with others that ACD phones work best with SCRs, lot less issues with MWI not showing correctly.

The box is un-checked for both mailboxes 7420 and 7435.
