Message lamp notification on T7316

I have a T7316E on a MICS 4.1 ver. 7.04. I believe the message notification lamp should work on 4.1 SW. The only post I can find shows only 5.0 or 5.1? will operate the lamp. I may have confused set compatibility with message lamp compatibility. Does anyone have the facts?

Whoops, I forgot the other half of the information. It is voicemail message notification from a NAM voicemail 4.0.0c.

Oh ok, i havent ever played with one of those. Im English so we have some slight differences over here. If its like the startalk then you would go into F983 pass:120000 or 1020000 (depending on extension lengh). Then choose the soft key under Mail Box and then change. Scrolling through these options you should find message notification yes or no. Just set to yes. But as i said this may be different so if its no help then i apologise.

No the message waiting lamp will only light on 6.1. Might work with 6.0.

You were right the first time. You need R6.1

Check your s/w again. It may be ver 6.04
R4.1 had working issues of 6.00, 6.04, 6.13, and 6.15. MWI was supported by WI6.15 only, and of course all versions of 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1
MWI is also supported by CICS 4.1 and up, and BCM 2.5 up

Me too. I was basing my answer on having to upgrade our CICS from 6.0 to 6.1 to get the message lites to work. Or maybe I had buggy software?
