Guys,

This customer used to press the message key (The one with the envelope) to retreive voicemail messages (Embeded voicemail - 3300 CX, MCD 4.1).

We've been doing some changes to the voicemail and rad ports over the weekend, so must probably we changed something that could've affected the message key on the IP phones (All 53XX).

Any idea how to correct this, so the message key will call the Voicemail Hunt Group again.

Regards,

Daniel

You need to ensure that all the voicemail ports are in the voicemail hunt group and all the rad ports are removed, Also ensure you have not used the last couple of ports at least (ie 19 and 20) for RADs as these are used for message waiting lights.

Boycey9,

This is a CX controller with 16 ports for voicemail/rad purposes.

The first 8 ports (Directory Numbers 7501 to 7508) are for Voicemail use, and the last 8 ports (DN 7509 to 7516) are for RADs.

H/Group 7555 is Voicemail Group and contains DNs 7501-7508

Then I have RAD Huntgroup 7556 with DNs 7509 to 7512,
RAD Huntgroup 7557 with DNs 7513 to 7515, and
RAD Huntgroup 7558 with DN 7516

Do you think I should leave ports 7515 and 7516 for Voicemail use?

Regards,

Daniel

never use the last ports (highest numbers) for RADs as this will cause a problem with msg waiting as the system uses the top ports to set msg waiting. Always use the bottom ports for RAD's. This will be the issue.

Guys,

I have changed it this way:

Rads: Ports 7501 to 7508
V/Mail: Ports 7509 to 7516

Voicemail Hunt Group includes ports 7509 to 7516

I made shure to change Greentings in the "VM Greeting form" accordingly and COS in Station Attributes.

Tomorrow I will go on site and see how it behaves. I will post back.

Thanks a lot, regards,

Daniel
