i have Telematrix 2800 phones on anolog extensions on a avaya ip office.The voicemail works but i cant get the message lights to work on the phones.I have mesaage waiting turned on for all the room extensions but still no light when there is a message when a guest is checked in.any help much appreciated.

And the users have a source number of V<EXT NO>?

I figured it out on these particular phones,the phone detects a message bye voltage so i set the message waiting to v101 and it worked fine

you may also want to note the documents from Avaya that state MWI on Analog phones are not supported.

what they mean is is may or may not work depending on the model but you are on your own if you run into trouble (cant blame them as they don't manufacture the phones).

You need to either supply phones that you have confirmed are ok (at least you know now the correct settings for the telematrix 2800 & I have given you a start for posting useful information) or warn the customer of the above disclaimer.




A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
