We have a Magix system here that has just recently stopped giving us the correct display of the number of messages in the respective mailboxes. The light still comes on to show there is a new message but the display still says 0 messages. I have looked all over the place to figure this out but am at a loss... Any ideas? Something I need to reset somewhere? Thanks!

Have you tried resting the system there is a way to do that im not to familure with Magix you may want to check out Avayas support site. But i think there was another post on this site on how to rest

Reboot the VM unit, either power down the whole Magix, which will reboot the VM also, or log into the System Administrator's box, press 9 for programming, then dial 989-reset

This is from TouchToneTommy on another post.

had this problem already, it was the version of messaging and the version of the magiz proc that caused the problem. if you have to reset the vm on a usual basis you will need to verify the correct versions and vintages of the cards and then take action on that. sometimes ( I know this happens, my previous employer did this) the place you get it from will sell you a version 2.5 and then install a version 2.0 because it's in stock at 0 cost to them. they sometimes do not check the specs and you don't catch it until you have problems. although it could just be a bad card? if the display stops working it may be a problem with data passing to the bus. check your error log to if there are any sanity errors on the proc or slot that the vm board is in.

The light could be coming from general mailbox off an autoattendant that has the extension in question set as the mailbox owner (gets the light). So, you could have no messages in mailbox 100, and show as such in the display, but have a general mailbox message in mailbox 9991, that lights up 100.
