Message Delievery Delays

I have a customer with an 2000 IPS and an AD-8 Voicemail. They have about 20 outside users that just call into the voicemail to retrieve their messages. Here is the problem, lets say that I call in and leave a message for one of them at 11:30AM, they call in at 1:00PM to check their messages and it will tell them that they have no new messages. However when they call back at 4:00PM or the next day my message will be there and the date/time stamp says 11:30AM.

This has been going on for a while and honestly I thought that this was an end-user issue. However, I am getting more and more people complaining of this problem. We are not using any type of external pager/cell phone notification.

The users in the office don't seem to have this issue, but I cannot be 100% certain about that.

Any insight would be appricieated.
 
Can you shut down the Vmail, go out to a DOS prompt, and run some hard drive utilities?
 
I have done that in the past and this is the second voicemail that I have put in the system and both have displayed the same problem.
 
We have 2 of the 4 ports set to A/D. The MW lamps do get delayed, but the majority of the people who have this problem work outside the office and don't have a phone.
 
Have you tried turning on trace diagnostics in the voicemail system startup string? Also, NTAC has numerous software patchs addressing the delayed message notification issues on certain software releases. What are the user mailbox message notification parameters set to, i.e., work phone/each msg/retry, etc..

I have not turned on the trace diagnostics yet, I will check out the software version on the voicemail and double check with NTAC. None of the mailboxes are using any type of external notification. The users simply call in and check their messages throughout the day.
