Our message centre greeting is way out of date, and I can't find the corresponding mailbox to change the greeting.

Our message centre is configured as #7400.
If you have a mailbox on the system and you call 7400 you get your own mailbox, however if you don't, or if you're calling from outside (DID) then you get a greeting.

In the phone system, the 7400 # is an ACD Queue for the 12 lines of our Octel 250 with DNs of 4501 to 4512.

I've gone through the system manager mailboxes, etc and can't seem to find this anywhere.

Any ideas?

Check Menu 2, Port Monitoring, you may find it there, under attendent available and unavailable.

There are no attendant #s configured in the port monitoring screen.

Our attendant is 0 or 7440, and has a completely different greeting (AAA).

sorry, I did not clarify the menus, it would be menu 2, sub menus 2,3,4 where the port monitoring would be, it defines the port and which mailbox would answer for that port.

If not there, it may be picking up integration and matching a mailbox there. You may look at online CDR to determine if a mailbox is being matched when the call comes in.

Last resort would be customized sign-on greeting from the system manage mailbox, which is what I think were checking in the first place.

I found it out.

it was the System General Message in Manager mailbox > option 9, 2, 1.

We've sinced changed the greeting.

Many thanks for trying.
