Message body not showing text

Every now and again some of our users received external E-Mail that is unreadable. The contents of the message is replaced with lines of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx instead of the text. Anyone got any ideas?

You may want to check to see if the persons email client is able to read HTML format messages. thats the only thing i could think of that would be causing this.

Is the text literally replaced with x's or a load of weird stuff?<br><br>If it's the weird stuff, maybe they don't have the necessary fonts installed.<br><br>If it's with x's, then I haven't the foggiest.<br><br>Carty

I'm affraid its literally replaced with x's.<br>We have tried everything, and we are still stumped. HELP!
