Mesage of the day flashes past (From a Novice) 1

We have three servers using SCO Openserver 5, if i put a message on them using MOTD, on two of the servers the MOTD appears and waits for a user to press enter before carrying on with the login, the other one just flashes past before they can read it.
Can anyone suggest a reason why.

This might be a problem with differences in your /etc/profile on each machine. I suggest you examine the part of these dealing with displaying motd, note any differences and if necessary change the aberrant one to the same as the 'correct' version.
