Which Voice Mail do you have? If is the External Partner Mail or the new Partner Messaging, there is a General Mailbox at 9991 which lights up at Ext. 10.
The general mailbox is usually used in the Night mode for "Dial 0/Timeout" calls. This way, the person at Ext. 10 doesn't get all of the "I don't know who I want to talk to" calls in their personal mailbox.
You can have these calls go to another user's mailbox, a specific extension, or disconnect (how rude!)
Anyway, go to the Automated Attendant Night Menu, and when it asks you to enter a selector code, enter 0 and then pick your choice from the menu.
The msg light on/off feature is not really recommended for the above scenario. I have also found that it is not indefinate when turned off... Matt Wray
