I have two issues I am working on a MerMail system. One is that the keyboard file that is in the system for procomm does not work properly, does anyone know where I can get a working keyboard file. The file will not let me select specific areas to back-up that I would like to back-up prior to swapping out a bad hard drive.

I think if you do a Google search on Procomm, MerMail, and keyboard you will likely hit upon something. I'm not familiar with the keymappings myself, but I'm sure someone has them documented somewhere. Once you have them, you can make those changes in Procomm's Keyboard Editor (Options | Keyboard Editor) menu item.

Menu>>>>

Options > Data Options > Terminal Options - Data Tab

Terminal should be VT220 - Keyboard should be VT220

Now click Advanced Button

Uncheck "8-bit mode" checkbox

Done

I've used VT100 for my Terminal without any problems. You can access the Keyboard Editor my pressing the <alt> key and the <f8> at the same time, while in the Procomm screen. This will allow you to do a "Save As" to any directory in your hard drive. Normally the keyboard file is saved in the "c:\program files\symantec\procomm plus" directory. For MerMail, you will want key <f5> to be mapped as: ^[OM - This will allow the Procomm keyboard to correspond to the MerMail's far right "soft key". By default, the VT100 keyboard file doesn't come up with ^[OM for <f5>, so you will need to change it.

The keys to support Meridian Mail should show in the "normal" field of the PC+ keyboard editor as

F1 - ^[OP
F2 - ^[OQ
F3 - ^[OR
F4 - ^[OS
F5 - ^[OM

Other useful keys are:
Del - ^[[3~
Page up - ^[[5~
Page down - ^[[6~
Up Arrow - ^[[A
Down Arrow - ^[[B

Hope this helps.
