MerlinMail Sytem Greeting Going to Default

Any idea why a Merlin-Mail system periodically re-sets to the default message "TRANSFERING TO 8200 [OPERATOR]" rather than playing our custom greeting asking callers to enter 1 to go to the company drectory. This happened more than once. It works for a period of time then falls back to the default. Re-recording the custom greeting seemed to fix the the first few times ... now even that does not correct the problem. Any idea what is going on.

That's what a voice mail port will do if it doesn't get, or can't decode, "mode codes" that indicate how to handle an incoming call.

I would look at bad touch tone receivers (search this forum on how to test, there was a discussion on an 007 ongoing recently)
