Legend R5 with a 6 port MerlinMail 007; all six ports 7120-7125 assigned to call answer service. I have the access number to MM as 1419 (to match the last DID number). Wanted to let users dial in from home, etc on xxx-1419 and access their mailbox, which seems to work ok...NOW I want to have MM AA answer two OPX lines from a remote switch (SL100) which come in as normal CO lines (lines 602 and 606 on the switch; both line 2 on separate 408 modules so if one dies, the other line stays active). I have a POOL code of 8 assigned to these lines (which took major renumbering in the Legend...DAMN it can be a PITA)...and set the pool to be covered by 1419...which means the AA answers but it asks for a DTMF 1 or wait....if I press one, it goes to an announcement that I want to answer the OPXs directly...but not sure how the AA annoucement is built, etc....
Whats the best way to do this?? (and I dont mind using another extn number in place of 1419..I just want the AA in MM to answer, play a greeting and let the user dial a 4 digit extn so they xfer to a phone....in the future, the OPXs will be changed to E&M ties but I dont have that possibility right now).. Thanks.

You have enabled the "Touch Tone Gate" so the system can determine if the caller is using a Rotary or Touch Tone phone. Pretty much a useless feature. Log into System Admin, 3 for Auto Attendant, your AA number if prompted, then 5 for the TT Gate, and 6 to turn it off.
