Hello Everybody -
I'm looking into buying the WinSPM software to program the system, instead of the MLX20 phone. Since I have an older processor w/o the flash card, how do I connect to the ADMIN port on the processor? Need your help, quick! THX

you can dial in using a modem and transfer to extension 10, i believe.

You use an RJ45 patch cord from the ADMIN port on the processor to a 355AF adapter that hooks to the Serial port on your computer. BUT you will not get to use amy of the advanced features of WINSpm with a processor that old. you will only get the Standard SPM Emulation in winspm. You may be better off saving some $$ and get the standard SPM that is DOS based.

And Matt is right about using a modem. You can use a sinlge line port on an 012 or an 016 card and tell the modem to dial *10 or call in with a modem hooked up and tell someone to transfer you to the system modem.

You can also loop back a single line port to a co port and setup a disa line for remote access after hours. if you have a did you can use just renumber the single line port to that or if not then create a voicemail box to transfer in with.

Where can I get a 355AF Adapter? Is it a common adapter sold in computer stores? Thanks.

The part number is 407590801. I have never seen them at an electronics store, but I know our vendor sells them.
