How hard is it to change out expansion modules on a merlin magix system. I am mainly interested in chaging from a 412TDL to a 024TDL. Is it as simple a powering down and chaning boards or do you have to use WinSPM to change the config. Thanks

After swapping boards and powering back on you must perform the board renumber procedure under system programming before the system will recognize a different module. Be sure the 4 line ports on the 412 TDL are not being used as system lines or MOH/Paging ports or you will have a lot of reprogramming to do. You may also find yourself renumbering station ports to get people back to their old extension numbers. If this 412 TDL is the last module in your system then you should be good to go as far as changing to a 024 TDL. Brian Cox

But if this 412 TDL is not the last card, you could be in a world of hurt! The Magix remembers the edtension locations as they were. For instance you had a 412 followed by an 016, or a voice mail card, then replacing the 412 card with a 24 port card would then the Magix would be programmed to have the 13the port on the 024 to act like the first port on the 016 or voice mail card. Not a happy situation. So the question is, what is your current configuration, and what do you want it to be?
