Merlin 4.2 uprading to a Magix 4.0.
Having problems with the upgrade.

I switched the dip switches up on the new processor to allow hybrid/pbx mode.

I have downloaded and converted the backup to 4.0 with Winsocket.

I pulled all the cards out of the Merlin slots, replaced the power supplies, and inserted the new processor.

I upload the converted file into the new processor and the Spm says that it has been completed.

After the restart, the new processor defaults out to Key mode and none of the programming that I uploaded is present.

Am I missing something? Any suggestions?

I was sent a generic 2MB flash card, might this be an issue?

So, you are trying to upgrade a LEGEND 4.0 to Magix 4.0, RIGHT?

What is the NEW processor you have?

Did you do the BACK UP when the OLD ONE was in KEY MODE, WITH SWITCHES SET?

I know not if the 2MB card is messing you up at this point.

What kind of processor do you now have? CKE4? CKE3? Magix CKE5? What mode (key or hybrid/PBX was the old processor and programming in - they need to be the same)? Not sure what you mean by "Winsocket" (I assume you mean WinSPM - and you need R9.0 to upgrade your translation to Magix R4.0)? Did you upgrade the last saved translation from your old processor all the way up to Magix 4.0? Did you put in the new processor and all of your old modules in the same slots as before - BEFORE trying to upload your translation? Did you do a "frigid" or cold start on the new processor with all modules in place BEFORE trying to upload your translation? If not, first reassemble your system as it was before with the new processor in place. Do a "frigid" start - so all modules are recognized (I assume you did not have any modules in the old system that DO NOT work with Magix R4.0 - such as any ATL modules for BIS-type phones). After the "frigid" start, do a system restore with your upgraded translation - it should take.

Processor is CKE5.
Old processor was in Hybrid/PBX mode.
Winsocket is Winspm 9.0
Did upgrade to 4.0
Don't have any unrecognizable cards. All MLX.

Will try the frigid start and will make sure that the new processor has been placed in Hybrid mode before I dump the translations.

Thank you.
