I am trying to locate a user manual/setup manual for a w/cke5 617w33-k. I have searched the web to no avail. I appreciate any help

I know of no manual specific to the hard ware, but exactly what are you trying to do?

I was able to communicate to the module with WINSPM last week, came in this morning and now I cannot talk to it. I get the error to check physical connection and reattempt. I have verified the baud rate and physical connection.

Should be 1200, n, 8, 2 - what do you have it set for?

Also, a lot of times my stupid laptop (and sometimes my desktop) decide to change/disable com ports on their own.

So, I'd check that for sure.

See how it's set in WINSPM and then see what your PC is trying to use.
