I'm trying to replace a Merlin Magix processor board. I have installed the new board with the old memory cord inserted with my back up files on it but cannot get to the programming on the phone. The WINSPM programming does not show up on the display phone - any suggestions ?

Is the new board the same release and version as the old one? Does it have any programming already on it? Do you have a computer running WinSPM software?

I'm guessing the new processor has programming left on it that has the programming phone assigned to one of the other first 5 logical ID's, and that's why you can get into programming (the phone itself is not running WinSPM). If you can't find the programming port, you can go in through the Admin port with a PC running SPM. If you can't do that, pull the battery jumper for a few minutes to cause the board to reset to default.

Finally, if they are NOT the same release and version, you need to save the current translations to your computer, use WinSPM's convert utility to change it into a compatible version, and upload that to the new processor.
