Merlin Plus Telephones? 1

I am installing a Merlin Plus System in one of our other buildings and the install and programming was a piece of cake,but i have run into a problem.Most Phones onlyt require 2 pairs to work.How many pairs does this system and phones need to be operational?

You can get by with 2 pair, but recommended is all 4 pair - using 568B color coding.

Pairs 7 and 8 are for the speaker.

on a merlin + system you need at least 3 pairs blue orange & green pairs wired as 568 B , the voice announce Brown you can disable it so intercom rings or you will hear nothing

The old ATL Sets had to have 1 Talk Pair, 1 Data Pair & 1 Power Pair.

The BROWN was used for SPEAKER, as he stated.

ATL is different than MLX.
