I have a phone that I would like 2 different extns to ring on. Is this possible and how? I am use to definity systems then I come to this merlin and I get lost real quick.

You would program a "cover" button for those other extentions - on the phone you want them to ring on. The "cover" button can be set to immediate or delayed ring.

Well I got the job done with programing a button on the phone to PickUp Ext <extn>. It doesn't ring on that phone but it will do. The phones are close enough together that they can hear the phone ring.

What I was wanting was (in Defintiy terms) a brdg-appr of a station on another station. Is a cover button the same as that in Merlin terms?

The closest you would come to a "bridge appearance" would be an autodial button for the extention you want to monitor. It would show you when the extention was in use vs. idle and you could dial it with one button touch. However, if you want the other extention to physically ring on your phone - you would need a "cover button" for it on your phone.

Oh, ok, well I will keep it how I got it. It seems to be great for the customer, they are happy. Thank you for your response.

You could also use shared system access. That works like Bridged appearances on the definity. you would need 1 for each SA button they have.
