Merlin Msg sel code calls not completing 1

I have a MerMsg with selector codes which work correctly on most calls. Occasionally a caller will punch a code and hear ringing- the called party answers and the caller hears the ringing stop but both ends get dead air. We tested on-site and sometimes made 50 calls or more w/o a failure. Tried removing 1 port at a time from the IntegVmi calling group but still get failures at about the same rate. Power cycled system but no change. Replace VM??
 
PRI line? SIP line maybe? callers dialing a 1-800 number to get to the Auto Att.
sounds not like a voicemail issue because the voicemail hangs up as soon as it has dialed the target number so it seems to have it's origins in voice path.

Thanks Westi! I was out of the office for a couple of days
and then had a network problem which blocked my access to email. In the meantime we ordered a repl. MerMsg and it is to be replaced today, 2-17-10. I'll post an update, hopefully with good news.
 
good stuff, see if the problem is with the hardware or the programming
