Merlin Messenger Running Slow!

I have a Merlin Messenger R3, Hardware Vintage 57, Application Vintage 33, Firmware Vintage 30, In a Magix system that is running slow. It takes about 15 seconds to get into the mail system and about 20 seconds to get to the mail box to get your messages. I’ve Reset the card and cold booted the system in the proper manner and it still runs slow. Can anyone tell me what I can to correct this problem?

make sure that not any additional ports are assigned in the group 770 (most likely)
do a printout of the group and if you check in maintenance-port-station and type in *xx01 (xx being you slot you have the module in) then it will show you the station number that is the first port on that slot.

Does it answer LINES directly?

If so, what type of lines?
