Merlin Messenger Backup

I have discovered when doing backup to the Merlin Messenger flashcard the system will not answer calls. Other than to do this during non-business hours, has anyone come up with a better backup solution? Also is there a way to back this info up to another location? ie: laptop hard drive.

use the merlin messaging administration CD that comes with the messaging system. Install the merlin messaging PC administration software, and use it to backup the system. Make sure you have the right software for the release of your messaging system.

You will need to change your PC's IP address to be on the same subnet as the messagings default IP address (assuming it has not been changed) The default IP address is 10.0.0.42, and subnet is 255.255.255.0

when you connect, your login will be sysadmin, and the password will be whatever the system admin password is currently set to. Once in, choose backup from the administration "Pull Down" Menu.
