Hi all,
I have a Cke5 processor R4.0 V7.0.
I am trying to get a Merlin Messaging to work but none of the port LEDs light.(Messaging R4 ... 4 port card)
Ofcourse none of the ports will answer after programming.
Will Messaging work with this release of processor.

Thank you all,

Messaging will work just fine.

If this Messaging was just installed, I suggest you do a board renumber, and if that fails to bring it up, I would recommend that you check to see if the Messaging Slot is BUSIED OUT or not.

If - after a board renumber - the Messaging still fails to boot - you may have a defective hard drive - and/or messaging module. As long as it gets power - it should boot - with or without a board renumber. You can turn power off and back on - and listen for the hard drive starting up. The "status" light should show activity like a hard drive light on a PC. If the hard drive stops - after a bit - then the drive is probably defective. The green port lights will also all flash simultaneously during the boot process in inceasing frequency - and finally stop with just the licensed ports lit solid green.

How many carriers (cabinets)do you have? Did you just insert the card in a slot with the power on or did you power down the system>>>>>>insert the card>>>then power up left to right?

Welcome back Tom! [bigsmile]

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
