After replaceing a Merlin Messaging card, the display on the sets that use to indicate the number of old and new messages (1 new and 4 old) no longer is displayed on the sets. How do I get that back. I have tried removing the users from the coverage group and even powered down the system but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

The replacement Messaging is an earlier release than the old one. Don't know for sure, but think it was R3 that gets you the message display, may be R4.
Log into mailbox 0, then press 7 to get the release information.

You may need to just reboor - and for sure do a board renumber - and the display should come back.

I just had the same thing happen, I replaced a R2.5 (which is the 1st release to have New/Old indicator) with a newer R3.0 and it stopped showing New/old. I am going to try a board renumber tonight and will repost results.

FYI, the board renumber took care of this issue.
