Merlin Messaging upgrade question

Is there a minimum release of Merlin Messaging (for MAGIX), that can be upgraded to Release 4.0? For example.. If I have a merlin messaging Release 1.0, 4 ports - Can it be upgraded to release 4.0 with 4 ports. What would be involved? I really want the WEB enabled setup,access and tools. Is Release 4.0 the ONLY release that supports the IP/WEB enabled access and tools? Would it be expensive to upgrade?

Rel 2.5 and 3 do as well. Don't think you can upgrade from an R 1 Messaging.

The R2.5 and the R3.0 on up support IP/Web access - and it is ONLY those releases that can be upgraded to R4.0. The R1.0 and R1.1 are limited to 6-ports with no further upgrades possible. The R2.0 can go up to 12-ports, and I believe may have the IP access - but the module is not upgradeable any higher. So - you need to acquire at least an R2.5 (Model# 617C49)in order to eventually get to R4.0
